Meet Your Host: Steve Hallman
“I believe that a natural inclination to be comfortable is the very thing that prevents so many people from becoming all that they were designed to be. At the center of this battle against complacency is my faith and understanding that in and of my own strength I am incapable of victory in this world.”
Steve’s careers in elementary education and law enforcement have taught him that to find meaning in our pursuits we need to embrace humility, ask better questions, and listen more. Listening to the wisdom of others has inspired Steve to exercise self-discipline, pursue truth through faith, and maintain high levels of integrity, which have resulted in greater resilience in the face of life’s interruptions.
“I cannot avoid every interruption in life, but I am able to have a positive perspective and execute tactics that will enable me to move past the difficult ones.”
Steve Hallman is a devoted husband, father of three young children, avid outdoors man, and founder of the Interrupted Movement.
Leading With Expectations and Communication With Timothy Pachasa
On today’s show, I am joined by Tim “Chachi” Pachasa who is the founder of CAPE Lead and the CAPE Lead Revolution Podcast. Chachi is a 24 year Air Force veteran, and has spent the majority of his career calling in air strikes for Army units.
Chachi created CAPE Lead as a way to bring a modern, common-sense approach to emerging leadership styles, and wants to help leaders go home at the end of the day knowing five things: That they did what they could, with what they had, at that time, regardless of the environment, and whether they wanted to or not. He hopes that leaders can gain some peace of mind by acknowledging those questions, and he wants to spend his life helping others become even better leaders!"
Chachi shares how to set proper expectation and more importantly, how to communicate them effectively. We talk about the difference between discipline and obedience, the 8 W’s, and CAPE Lead
“Are We Better Than This?” with Host Steve Hallman
Have you heard this statement? We are better than this. Are we? Steve Hallman, host and founder of The Interrupted Podcast shares some thoughts about the current volatile and divisive climate we are experiencing in society. The unrest and uncertainty that we see everyday can be extremely interrupting and cause us to drift off course if we are not committed to discipline, and growing our capacities in every domain of life. If we are going to be better than what we are seeing and experiencing we have to take action and intentionally take steps to "do better." Steve shares a few tactics for growth in episode 25.
Additionally, Steve lays out what listener can expect to hear on The Interrupted Podcast in 2021, and he casts some vision for the Interrupted movement. Complacency must die, and a commitment to Truth, discipline, and integrity must win the day. Enjoy this first episode of 2021.

Exceeding Joy
Merry Christmas! Episode 24 is a special tribute to Melvin Miller, my maternal grandfather. One year ago, I officially kicked off my podcast journey with this first interview of my grandfather, who I call "Pa." We originally planned to do several interviews for a series about his life, but those plans were interrupted, like so many in 2020, when Pa quietly passed away in June. Today you will hear snapshots from Melvin's early years, which formed many of the values I have come to appreciate and seek to emulate: his work ethic, his views on money, his love for family, and his deep and abiding faith. I hope you'll enjoy this more personal look into my life through the eyes of my grandfather.
Beyond Relentless: Maine Muzzleloader
One of the greatest weeks every year for a hunter, is the time spent in deer camp with likeminded men and women. Sharing strategies, tactics and taking some time to reminisce about past hunts is by far one of the best parts of camp. This year Steve Hallman joined a great group of guys, in Maine, for a late season muzzleloader hunt. They took a break mid week to talk about how things were going, how the current warm conditions have been impacting the big woods whitetails and have a few laughs along the way. Topics also covered are: the best 2020 hunting moments and Maine bear trapping.

Wes believes that as we transition out of the Information Age and into a new ‘Age’, the most valuable resource will be human attention. The visible battlefield requires technology. The invisible battlefield is in the mind of every one of us. The Maine Mountain Tom
On today’s show, we are recording on location in Shirley, Maine. I was invited by a great friend, Clay Groton to travel up to Maine, on a late-season turkey hunt with Bearit Guide Service. Clay’s Friend Zach Monroe and his father Steve Monroe just purchased a new hunting camp and graciously invited us to come up and experience mountain turkey hunting. Steve Monroe is a seasoned hunting guide who spends most of his time guiding clients on once in a lifetime Moose and Bear hunts, but on this late-season turkey hunt, we found that his hunting knowledge goes way beyond the big game. He opened his hunting camp up to a few Maryland boys to come experience all the Moosehead Lake region has to offer. Clay and I give a wrap up of the 2020 spring turkey season and get to share an amazing Maine turkey hunting story. The north woods of Maine proved to be a force to be reckoned with, but after a tough few days of hunting, we were able to get ourselves in a position for a heart-stopping final morning in Maine. I hope you enjoy this show as we retell some hunting tales while at turkey camp. Be sure to check out Bearit Guide Services in Shirley, Maine.
