Meet Your Host: Steve Hallman
“I believe that a natural inclination to be comfortable is the very thing that prevents so many people from becoming all that they were designed to be. At the center of this battle against complacency is my faith and understanding that in and of my own strength I am incapable of victory in this world.”
Steve’s careers in elementary education and law enforcement have taught him that to find meaning in our pursuits we need to embrace humility, ask better questions, and listen more. Listening to the wisdom of others has inspired Steve to exercise self-discipline, pursue truth through faith, and maintain high levels of integrity, which have resulted in greater resilience in the face of life’s interruptions.
“I cannot avoid every interruption in life, but I am able to have a positive perspective and execute tactics that will enable me to move past the difficult ones.”
Steve Hallman is a devoted husband, father of three young children, avid outdoors man, and founder of the Interrupted Movement.
Becoming the Sentinel With Pat McNamara
In a rapidly and seemingly more dangerous world, it is increasingly important that we strengthen our capabilities by learning and applying new skills in the areas of self-awareness and situational awareness. We have become a society that is quick to outsource our security and expect someone else to save us when we are caught in an unthinkably violent situation. Today's guest is the one and only Patrick McNamara. Pat Mac is a 22-year veteran of the army and spent much of his time in the military in some of the premier special operations units. He retired from the Army's elite hostage rescue unit as a Sergeant Major.
Pat Mac has trained some of the best soldiers in the military along with Police officers and civilians in shooting tactics that will better prepare them to fight for their lives should they be caught in lethal situations. Mac is not only a premier teacher and training he is an exceptional author that has the gift of sharing some of the most important information with the world when it comes to firearms training and personal and family safety. He is the author of T.A.P.S. (Tactical Application of Practical Shooting) and Sentinel.
When he is not training or spending time with his family you can catch him making hilarious and informative content over on his YouTube channel, Pat Mac. Be on the lookout for his viral, "Basic Dude Stuff videos."
