Speaking for, “The Least of These” with Moses Ashaba
Childhood poverty is a crisis affecting over 1 billion children worldwide, including over 350 million children living on less than $1.90 a day. While most of us take food, shelter, medical care, and education for granted - rarely appreciating the material abundance we have - these children often go to bed hungry, unsure where their next meal will come from, how they will get help if they are sick, or whether or not they will be able to go to school.
It doesn’t have to be this way, and the catalyst for change is closer than you think. In fact, it may be you.
In this episode of The Interrupted Podcast, Moses Ashaba shares his powerful story as a young boy born into poverty in Uganda, the real and raw struggles that go along with that life, and the profound impacts of being sponsored by a man named Nelson, through an organization called Compassion International.
Moses was fortunate to receive a sponsor through Compassion International as an 8 year boy living in Uganda. Through the life-giving words and financial gifts of his sponsor Nelson, Moses was able to graduate grade school, go on to college, attend law school in Philadelphia, and now speak on behalf of Compassion International to continue to release children around the world from poverty in Jesus' name.
